Solution (Implementation Steps)
Customer to Service Order
Let’s covered Second scenario Attached Document in Customer card.
- The First step is Click on Search icon and search for Customers and Navigate to the Customers list page in Business Central.
- Open any Customer card by clicking on it, then select Customer > Attachments to attach a document to the customer card.
- Click on Attach File(s)… to upload document.
- Click on Drop a file here to Upload or Click here to browse.
- Now select the document from the device and upload it here.
- Now the user can see the attached documents in the line. Here, users need to select the Flow to Service Trx option. This option allows the attached documents to flow into the related service documents.
- User can see the Attached document on the customer card in Attachments section of fact Box.
Create Service order for this customer.
- The First step is Click on Search icon and search for Service Order and Navigate to the Service Order list page in Business Central.
- On the Service Order list page Click on +New option to create new service order.
- A blank Service Order card will open, where the Attachments section in the Fact Box will show no attached documents.
- When the user selects a customer in the Service Order under the Customer No. field, the document will automatically be attached in the attachment section of the Fact Box.
- The attached documents will be displayed in the Attachments section of the Fact Box.
- The user can view or download the document by clicking on the value displayed in the Attachments section.
- The user can download the attached document in PDF format by clicking on the Download option in the menu bar.
Note:
- Document attachments cannot be added to service item lines.
