Based in South Africa, our client required the integration of various functionalities in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Online.
The Challenge
The client needed to:
- Create customized report layouts
- Set up price groups for different clients with varying pricing tiers
- Sync Outlook with Business Central
- Embed Power BI reports in Business Central
The Solution
Our team delivered a comprehensive solution to address these needs:
Customized Report Layouts:
- Created custom report layouts for sales orders, quotes, and purchase orders.
- Exported and imported these custom layouts into Business Central to meet the client's reporting requirements.
Price Group Setup:
- Set up different price groups to facilitate various pricing strategies for different client segments:
- Grouped wholesale customers together and assigned wholesale prices.
- Grouped special customers together and provided special discounts on different products.
- Assigned normal unit prices to the remaining customers.
- Implemented the process by setting up Customer Price Groups and assigning them to customers in the Customer Card.
Outlook and Business Central Sync:
- Configured the client's mailbox with Business Central, enabling seamless email synchronization with Outlook.
Embedding Power BI Reports:
- Created reports in Power BI connected to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Published the Power BI reports in the Power BI workspace.
- Integrated the Power BI reports into Business Central, allowing for enhanced data visualization and analysis directly within the platform.
Other Features
- Provided training and support for the client’s staff to ensure effective use of the new functionalities.
