Canvas App for managing basic Sales Data

The Challenge: 

The US based Client was relying on manual processes for managing their sales data, which involved creating and filling out sheets and updating the system manually. This approach led to inefficiencies and delayed operations. The key issues included: 

  • Manual data entry processes that were time-consuming and error prone. 
  • Limited ability to handle large datasets efficiently. 
  • No seamless integration for document and attachment management. 
  • A lack of automation in workflows for sending emails and updates.

The Solution: 

To address these challenges, we implemented PowerApps (Canvas App), SharePoint, and Power Automate to automate and streamline their sales process. The solution provided: 

  • Canvas App Development: A dynamic and user-friendly Canvas App was developed to manage the sales process efficiently, handle large datasets, and provide a seamless user experience. 
  • SharePoint Integration: Leveraged SharePoint as the backend database to store and manage large datasets, ensuring scalability and reliability. 
  • Power Automate Integration: Automated processes were created using Power Automate to send emails with PDF attachments, including detailed descriptions, reducing manual effort and errors. 
  • Document and Attachment Management: Integrated a PDF and document viewer within the app, allowing users to interact with their attachments directly, without leaving the app. 
  • Security Features: Role-based access control was implemented, providing specific permissions for different user roles (Owner, Manager, Employee) to view and update relevant data. Additionally, a company-level setup screen was included within the app for easy configuration updates and enhanced security settings.

The implementation of PowerApps, SharePoint, and Power Automate brought significant improvements including:
