Integration using Power Automate and Azure Web API

The challenge

The client wanted to integrate a 3rd party service to bring data from the service’s system into their own at regular intervals and send some data back if required.

The solution

An API was created and hosted on Azure using Azure WebAPI service. A Power Automate was used to communicate with the 3rd party’s services through the WebAPI. This set up would get the data regularly from the 3rd party service and push it into Dynamics 365. The same Web API was used to transport data from Dynamics 365 to the 3rd party service. Any error that arose during these operations would be logged in a custom table in Dynamics 365.
